Graco Quattro Tour LX test & review
You read all those professional reviews of baby products but in most cases you never hear a real life product review of somebody who is in the same position as you are. Have you purchased and assembled a stroller yet. Until a few weeks ago we had never done this before. Here is our "other" review of how to assemble a stroller and put it through a quick test drive.
We had purchased the "Graco Quattro Tour LX" Stroller which also includes a car seat and car seat base. The box is huge and if you only have a small car you might experience problems getting it loaded up at the store. The box is not too heavy to be carried by one person. It is easier though if you have a second hand. Don't let your pregnancy wife help you to carry the box.
How long does it take to assemble the stroller? It took us about 30 minutes but we were slow and we took pictures of every step to document the whole process for you. Make sure you follow the manual step by step to avoid problems and you can be done in 15-20 minutes. We highly recommend to take out all parts and pieces and place them highly visible for you in the area where you assemble the stroller.
Do you need to be an engineer to assemble this stroller? No, you do not need to be an engineer. Do you need any tools? No, not really. We used a hammer on one of the wheel caps to apply some pressure but all we needed was the weight of the hammer to help us. No brute force was needed. We did experience a few problems when putting the cup holder in place but the problem was easy to correct by removing the unit and adding it again.
Here are some pictures of our experience.

Overall we are very satisfied with this stroller. It is easy to fold down and up. The stroller itself is easy to navigate. The car seat is easy to install. The carrier is a little heavy and should not be carried by a woman that had a C-Section in the first 2-3 weeks after giving birth.
