Lesbian Pregnancy

What is Lesbian Pregnancy?

Lesbian pregnancy is a comparatively a newer concept that deals with lesbian partners getting pregnant with the help of the latest technology. The process of lesbian pregnancy is intricate and includes around five stages as mentioned below.

The first step is called the preconception in which the wishful mother has to undergo all the required tests and seek counseling from health professionals. Even the basic medical requirements are checked and prospective mother is immunized.

Then is the second step in which the lesbian parents make a donor choice. This stage is crucial and the lesbian parents are elucidated about the benefits and disadvantages of trying out a known or an anonymous donor. Even the complications and risk factors involved in using frozen or fresh semen are explained thoroughly.

Then to cross-check, the next step that is undertaken is donor testing. The various processes to verify the semen and its quality are carried out. This is basically performed before performing the home insemination. Then the semen is accordingly ordered as per the requirement from the semen banks.

Then is the most important step of artificial insemination in which the serum that contains sperms is induced into the female body for the fusion of gametes that results in a new offspring.

Tips & Tricks

The lesbian couples who want to cherish a pregnancy and experience parenthood need to be well-educated about the matter. They should take utmost care while undergoing all the requisite tests for the insemination. A well-informed decision about the donor and the sperm banks can ease the complete process to a very great extent. It should be a combined effort of the couple and specialists in order to achieve a healthy pregnancy state.

Health Insurance Information (USA)

The United State of America has over about 1,300 member companies who offer health insurance plans to the public. Health insurance makes normal and specialized health care available to the public at affordable costs. These schemes can be bought with the pre-tax. AHIP (America’s Health Insurance Plans) is the statutory body that takes care of these insurance policies.

Artificial Insemination

Artificial insemination is an excellent scientific way to reproduce offspring without actually having a natural copulation. This method is intricate and involves a number of steps. The frozen or fresh sperm containing serum is induced into the uterus of the female. It is after ovulation that the fusion of the two gametes takes place in side the woman’s uterine bag.  The history dates back to a few years back when this method was primarily used in the cattle industry to produce better yield of milk. Scientifically talking, artificial insemination can even be used to produce young ones with desired characteristics and traits. The semen is placed inside the woman’s body with the help of a device called the “straw”. With the induction of these sperms even some antibiotics are injected in order to avoid any venereal diseases. In the human race, the popularity of surrogate parenting is increasing day by day. Hence the process of artificial insemination is fast catching fire world over.

Two women can not produce a baby together. One must be inseminated. If a female wants to become a male, referred to as an FTM, the transitioning partner can not produce sperm after they undergo bottom surgery.

Actually, there is considerable research going on into how an egg can be fertilised without the use of semen, but instead using the genes of another female. However, there has so far only been one sucessful fertilation and the resulting offspring can only ever be female due to the lack of Y chromasomes.

Is it possible for my fiancée to use my eggs so that the baby can look like me? And will it look like her as well? And how much will it cost?
