Times are very different today compared to just one or two decades ago. As our society continues to evolve and many women are planning to have a career first and to start families later and later in their life. But with a growing age of women trying to get pregnant, more problems are becoming visible. As an example the issue of female infertility is growing and chances are that the longer a women waits to have a baby, it takes 3-6 months longer before the efforts work out and the woman becomes pregnant.
While most women can and do become pregnant past the age of 30 with little to no difficulty, there are many women who experience a whole different situation. Doctors and researchers have proven that waiting past 30 or older to get pregnant will dramatically increase a woman’s risk of infertility. Reasons for this are plenty to be found, but to single that one specific reason out for each case is impossible. Today we eat a lot more processed food which carries lots of problems. Just think about the amount of sodium that is consumed without us noticing it really. Obesity is on the rise and more people are struggling to keep the pounds off.
If you are a woman in your early 30s considering to get pregnant 2 or 3 years down the road, you should already start working towards that goal by making certain adjustments to your lifestyle. Adding exercising to your lifestyle should be one of the first things to do. If you are a little overweight, reducing weight is another thing to look at as soon as possible. Researchers have confirmed that overweight will reduce your chances of getting pregnant significantly. Taking vitamin supplements including Omega 3 Fish Oil is another good way to “prepare” your body for pregnancy.
Keep in mind it takes a while for all these changes to workout. As another example if you are smoking cigarettes, you should stop that bad habit immediately. Smoking is one of the biggest reasons for infertility (Smoking can be responsible for low sperm count, too) and it can take 12 months or more before your body becomes clean of the toxins that smoking carries. Buy yourself time if you plan on getting pregnant in your mid to late 30s by preparing for it already years ago. Reversing the negative effects of an unhealthy lifestyle later on will shave off critical time from the window that “decides” if you can get pregnant or not.
