Do You Know How To Get Pregnant?

Ok, I am not talking about the “technical” information about how to make a baby as I assume you know that part. I am making the assumption that you have some difficulties in your quest on getting pregnant. To many couples are jumping the gun when it does not happen right away with that baby thing.

These couples go for expensive fertility tests and visit specialists whose fees are not necessarily covered by the health insurance at that point (especially without having a proper referral from an OB Gyn). The next thing they try are some obscure programs and options that are “recommended” by someone. Anything that looks complicated and expensive will be considered first, but often the solution is so much easier and far less expensive.

When it does not work out right away with conceiving a baby, the first thing a couple should do is to revisit their lifestyle and to clean up as much possible. These couples should start with eliminating any kind of junk food or not so healthy food options. This includes soft drinks of any kind and the man and the woman should switch to drinking pure water. Adding more veggies, preferably organic, to a diet is another important step that helps to live a better lifestyle. [Read more...]

Trying to get pregnant?

For many couples this is never a big issue when they decided on having a baby. For approx. 85 % of American couples, conception happens fairly easily, and a new baby is on its journey. If you are less than 35 years old and time your intercourse perfectly you still only have a 20% chance of getting pregnant during an ovulation cycle. The chances rapidly work against you the older you get. Many women 35 years and older hear the invisible clock ticking when it comes to having children.

You should schedule a pre-conception checkup for yourself and your partner when you are ready to have children. Most couples don’t do this and when things are not working as anticipated it is much more difficult to make doctor appointments. Why is it difficult? Consider the motivational standpoint as an example. It is easy to become depressed when it does not work out right away with becoming pregnant. Depression can have many faces and it is never easy to deal with the situation. There always questions that start coming up? Is me or hubby? Am I infertile or does he have low sperm count? Is his sperm just not good enough for me? What if I cannot have any children at all? Adoption will take years …

You might have had one of these thoughts already and trust me, your mind goes a little crazy when you try to become pregnant with no success. What started as fun at night, now becomes a timed event and baby making sex is suddenly “work” and not fun. That’s not how it is supposed to be.

A friend recommended an eBook written by a lady named Lisa Olson. She went through this situation way past her 40th birthday. During her journey to pregnancy she experienced what many couples are experiencing. But Lisa never lost hope and she was persistent. She discovered something … well, she calls it system, but I am not sure if that is really the appropriate term. Anyway, Lisa Olson became pregnant not only once, but twice and now has 2 beautiful children. You can read about her story here and maybe you even want to buy her eBook, too. It might save you from having to ask all the questions from above …. who knows.
