Good nutrition is important for just about every aspect of your health including the health of your skin. You can find lotions and cleansers to provide the surface of your skin with healthy vitamins and minerals.

Many of the foods that you should eat with vitamins and minerals will provide your body with ideal levels of antioxidants. The antioxidants will keep free radicals from taking over your body. Too many free radicals can cause more aging lines in your skin and wrinkles. An abundance of free radicals can also reduce elasticity in the skin.

Coenzyme Q10 is important for the health of your skin. It can be found in many common foods including: tuna, mackerel, seafood, cabbage and peanuts. It is also readily found in spinach and sardines. Foods rich in Selenium can improve the health of your skin as well. Try eating turkey, seafood, brown rice, nuts (if no allergies) and foods with garlic.

You need plenty of Vitamin A for health skin. Include foods such as carrots, mandarins, peaches, oranges, sweet potatoes and pumpkin in your diet. Milk, tuna, liver and cheese are also rich in Vitamin A. To ensure you eat plenty of Vitamin C rich foods, try spinach, broccoli, cucumber, cabbage, strawberries, tomatoes, peppers, orange juice and citrus fruits.

Zinc is important for health skin. To add more zinc to your diet try eating oysters, beef or pork. You can also eat baked beans, nuts, peas, cheese and even yogurt. Many fortified cereals will also provide you with plenty of zinc.

Some other foods with good nutrients for your skin include: apricots, cantaloupes meats, liver and apple. Basically by always eating a well balanced diet you can achieve healthy skin.
